how to improve self confidence and self esteem

4 Ways To Boost Your Self Confidence

Having a lack of self-confidence or low self-esteem can affect all areas of your life. It can affect you while out with friends, giving a presentation, or meeting new peopleto name a few. Confidence issues are derived from many different life experiences we have. If you are dealing with low self-confidence or self-esteem + want to know how to change, keep reading!

If your confidence is low, you understand how it can affect your life + stop you from doing the things you really want to do. Some people view their lack of confidence as a personality trait + simply let go of their dreams of getting a promotion, meeting their spouse, or other goals they feel are out of reach. I have met people that still don’t believe in themselves in their 40s, + 50s because they've never really tried!

Here are 4
tips you can use to build your confidence today.

1. Surround yourself with positivity

Positive, enthusiastic, + passionate people are contagious. Surround yourself with them + allow their confidence to brush off on you. You know the saying, “Fake it ‘til you make it”? Exactly that. By being around positive people you will learn how they confidently deal with things in their life that would throw less confident people off course.

2. Create a new image

Go out + design a whole new image that oozes confidence. It could be some new clothes, a new hairstyle, or a new nickname. When you create a new image, you might experience fewer barriers to stepping into confidence as the new you is born.

3. Watch what you say to yourself

We all talk to ourselves as we think about things. Some of us often say things like, Oh, I can’t afford that! This type of inner talk can be quite negative as it closes our minds to finding a solution. Instead, say something like,‘How could I afford that?”, this allows you to use your brain as an idea generator + ultimately find a solution.

4. Make a change

Change jobs, apartments, or find new friends. If you find that an element of your life is causing your confidence to decrease–change it! Remember, you are the creator, director, + producer of your life. Don’t believe the lies of a lack mindset. You have the power to change your situation!
